Aon appoints Ben Jones as Chief Operating Officer, APAC
Insurance and reinsurance broking firm Aon has appointed Ben Jones as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Asia Pacific (APAC), effective December 8th, 2025, based in Singapore.
In his new role, Jones will be partnering with the broker’s regional and global teams to strengthen its operating model, support growth, and deliver excellent experiences for clients and colleagues regionally.
Jones has nearly 35 years of industry experience, having started his career in 1991 as a Manager for Banking Consulting, Insolvency & Receivership Crowe at Horwath International in Sydney.
He later went on to serve in several management positions at HIH Insurance, including Director of Financial Institutions, Business Integration Leader for M&A, Internal Audit Manager, and Treasury Accounting Manager.
Most recently, Jones was the Chief Transformation and Operations Officer at Manulife, and before this, he did a short stint as Country Chief Transformation Officer at Allianz Ayudhya in Bangkok.
Prior to this, he was the Regional Head of Operations, APAC for Allianz Insurance, Head of Transitions, and Operational Partnering for IAG.
Jones also spent over seven years at AIG as Regional Operations Executive of Commercial Insurance, APAC, Regional Vice President Operations for APAC, and as Regional Manager, Operations & Systems for Australasia.
He has also served at Westfield as a Senior Manager for Business Improvements and in several roles at Allianz Group for over five years, as Global Sustainability Program – Consultant on SME Insurance and Business Reengineering, General Manager, Operations, National Operations Manager, and Manager Strategy & Business Development.
