Pinnacle Underwriting joins DIFC to expand regional presence

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the global financial hub for the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA), has announced that Pinnacle Underwriting Pty Ltd has joined DIFC to expand its regional presence and strengthen its reinsurance and risk management capabilities.
Established in 2019 and headquartered in Sydney, with offices in Melbourne, Singapore and Dubai, Pinnacle Underwriting is a facultative reinsurance MGA writing business across the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.
Pinnacle Underwriting specialises in facultative reinsurance across lines including Property, Power Generation & Utilities, Onshore Oil & Gas, and Political Violence & Terrorism.
The move reflects DIFC’s growing role as a platform for global insurers and underwriters seeking to access new markets, drive innovation, and connect with a world-class ecosystem of financial institutions and professional services firms.
Pauline Lim, Regional Director at Pinnacle Underwriting, said, “Setting up in DIFC has always been a longtime goal for Pinnacle allowing us to extend our Underwriting focus and better reach our partners within the Region for better collaboration. This development strengthens our growth ambitions and our commitment in delivering value for our partners in the region.”
In June 2025, United Risk, a global property and casualty insurance underwriting and distribution platform, completed the acquisition of Pinnacle Underwriting and its affiliate, Pinnacle Holdings Group Pty Ltd.
