Davies names Richard Barke as CEO of Insurance Solutions division
Davies, a professional services and technology provider for the insurance and regulated markets, has promoted Richard Barke to CEO of its Insurance Solutions division.
In his new role, Barke will oversee operations and shape the division’s growth strategy, working closely with Davies’ global leadership team to advance continued investment in technology and innovation.
Barke brings more than 20 years of industry experience. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Davies Insurance Solutions and Davies-owned Asta.
During his nearly 15-year tenure at Asta, Barke held several senior positions, including Executive Director, Finance Director, and Chief Actuary.
Earlier in his career, he held roles at AIG, Aspen, and KPMG.

As part of the leadership transition, Steven Crabb has been appointed Deputy Chairman – Insurance Solutions.
Crabb will focus on driving organic growth, particularly expanding the division’s geographical reach across the U.S. and beyond.
His deep industry knowledge and client-first approach will be key to identifying new opportunities and supporting the broader team as they deliver on Davies’ long-term strategic objectives.

The news follows the recent appointment of James Ferris as CEO of Davies’ captive management division. Ferris will report to Barke and focus on expanding services and capabilities, and growing the offering for captive owners in new global domiciles.
