Guy Carpenter appoints Matthew Flynn as Head of Global Clients, Global Specialties

Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance broking arm of Marsh McLennan, has announced the appointment of Matthew Flynn to the newly created role of Head of Global Clients for its Global Specialties business.

Guy CarpenterBased in London, Flynn will report to James Boyce, CEO of Global Specialties, and will join the Global Specialties Leadership Team.

In this role, he will be responsible for advancing Guy Carpenter’s strategic value proposition for this client segment across Global Specialties.

Flynn brings over two decades of industry experience. He rejoins Guy Carpenter after previously serving at the firm from 2011 to 2018 as Managing Director and Senior Broker, specialising in property retrocession for London, Bermuda, and global clients.

Most recently, he was Head of Property Catastrophe – Assumed Retro and UK Property at Renaissance Re.
