Atrium expands Aviation underwriting team with new hire

Atrium, an insurance group operating within Lloyd’s market, has announced the appointment of Rob James as an Underwriter in its Aviation division.

AtriumAtrium provides tailored insurance solutions across various specialty sectors, including aviation. James will work alongside Bassel Matta, Head of Aviation, to support the ongoing development of their aviation insurance portfolio.

James brings over 17 years of experience in aviation underwriting. He joins Atrium from Liberty Specialty Markets, where he managed their all-risk and war aviation account. Prior to that, he spent 12 years with Tokio Marine Kiln as part of their Aviation team.

He is expected to join Atrium in the first quarter of 2026 after fulfilling his existing contractual commitments.
