QBE names Geisler as CEO of South Asia and Bethell as Head of Partnerships, Asia
Australian insurer QBE has appointed Stephen Geisler as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of South Asia and Ross Bethell as Head of Partnerships for its Asia business. The pair will be based in Singapore and report to Rob Kosova, CEO of QBE Asia.
Geisler will take on his new role from September 23rd, 2025, succeeding Ronak Shah, who is currently serving as CEO of QBE Singapore, and, more recently, was appointed as CEO of Wholesale Markets Asia.
In his new role, Geisler will lead QBE Singapore directly and provide oversight for QBE Malaysia. He will drive business strategy and provide leadership on sustainable business growth, including leading local underwriting teams.
Geisler joins from QBE’s headquarters in Australia, having been with the firm for over 35 years, working across multiple functions, and is experienced in global and Asian markets underwriting.
Bethell’s role is effective September 1st, 2025. He will oversee the strategic direction and management of the company’s international broker channels, while fostering strong relationships with key partners in strategic markets and working with local broker teams to drive regional growth.

He has over two decades of industry experience, having held leadership roles with a strong focus on client management, most recently as the Chief Client Officer of South Asia at Marsh.
