Shead takes over as Head of Property for Chubb’s Overseas General Insurance

Property and casualty insurer Chubb Limited has promoted Aaron Shead to Executive Vice President (EVP), Head of Property for Overseas General Insurance (COG), the company’s international general insurance operations, effective immediately.

Chubb logoSince 2018, he has served as Senior Vice President, Head of Fire for COG. In his new role, Shead will oversee the growth and profitability of Chubb’s fire, terrorism, power, and energy portfolios, while serving as the business leader for property major accounts.

Shead has over 25 years of insurance industry experience at Chubb, holding leadership positions across the UK, Asia, and Bermuda.

His prior roles at Chubb include serving as Vice President, Energy & Property Underwriting for over 25 years, responsible for property, energy and technical risks, including oil and gas (onshore & upstream), power generation, mining and construction classes.

Shead also served as the Regional Vice President of Energy & Technical Risks for Chubb in Singapore for six years. He started his career as an Account Manager at CGU Insurance in 1990.
