Dwayne Hunt named SVP, Head of Property Insurance at Hamilton Re

Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd, a specialty re/insurance company, has appointed Dwayne Hunt as Senior Vice President and Head of Property Insurance at Hamilton Re, its Bermuda-based underwriting platform, effective immediately, replacing Gavin Davis, who will be departing the organisation.

With 30 years in the insurance industry, Hunt will oversee Hamilton Re’s property insurance operations and team. He has been with Hamilton for five years, having previously held the role of Senior Vice President, Property Insurance, at Neon.

Earlier in his career, he held senior property underwriting positions at ACE (now Chubb) and Arch. He began his professional career as a broker at Johnson and Higgins before moving to XL (now AXA XL), where he transitioned into underwriting.
