Ranji Sinha to lead newly launched BMS (DIFC) as broker strengthens commitment to the region

Global insurance and reinsurance broker BMS Group Ltd has officially launched BMS (DIFC) Ltd after the receipt of all necessary Licence and Regulatory Approval.
The specialist re/insurance broker launched its Middle East operation with the acquisition of United Arab Emirates (UAE) insurance broker, Berns Brett Masaood (now BMS Masaood), back in 2023.
The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is a growing financial hub in the region, and continues to attract global re/insurers and brokers, with more and more companies establishing a presence.
BMS says that this launch “secures another foundation stone of the Group’s regional strategy stretching from Turkey throughout the Middle East and North Africa.”
The company has formally appointed Ranji Sinha as SEO for BMS (DIFC) Ltd, a role which sees him assume responsibility for all business emanating from across the MENA regions plus Turkey, and for all territories and classes underwritten in the DIFC.
Lavanya Mamidanna will continue to serve as MD of BMS Masaood, UAE responsible for all Direct business in the UAE.
The leadership team will continue to report into Vedanta Baruah, CEO BMS Middle East & North Africa and thence into London, explains the firm.
“BMS continues to commit to the region and we are now fully equipped to serve our clients in both Direct and Reinsurance arenas and to draw on the highly professional technical skills located in BMS Group’s global offices,” said Baruah.
